What can i say about the 20x24 Polaroid camera?....extreme awesomeness. Polaroid made 5 20x24 camera's in the mid 70's to show off their new film. They were rented out by Museums and Photographers for their extremely large instant print. I got the opportunity to rent one in San Fransisco to complete my body of work on figure studies. Instant gratification doesn't get much better then this.
If your in San Antonio these are currently on view at the 20/20 Gallery.
Polaroid Transfers on Hand-made paper
This was a body of work i completed some time ago. This polaroid transfer process fit perfectly with the figure studies I was shooting at the time and I decided early on that the wonderful messy edges indicative of the process would go wonderfully with the deckle edges of paper that i could make myself. Each one is a framed one-of-kind original. Unfortunately Polaroid no longer makes this film
Sx-70 time zero manipulation
A great fun film for alterative photographic processes. Little did many people know that after exposure the emulsion of Time-zero film took some days to really dry and set. During this time the image was open to many kinds of manipulation. A little application of heat and some pressure from a second hand set of dental tools and VOILA, impressionistic Photographs! No photoshop experience needed!
